[Qgis-developer] feature freeze exception

Dear all,

I would like to ask for a feature freeze exception for PR #1870 Allow 
"order features by value" for relation reference widget [0].

I have been developping for quite some time a data model and QGIS module 
for managing a water network in QGIS.
The module is about to be distributed to some real-life testers and this 
feature is required. These testers will use a stable release and not the 
master.

The code is quite simple, has been done by an experienced developer 
(Matthias Kuhn), and if community agrees on this exception, Matthias 
will provide a test in a short delay.

Somehow, this could be also considered as a bugfix, since it's quite a 
problem not to be able to order elements in a combobox.

Please let me know what you think, so a decision can be made in a 
reasonable time frame.
