There are quite a large number of tickets (mainly blocker and some
regressions) opened recently. Not sure how many of them are related to the
latest node tool changes, but as Nyall said, the current status of
digitising in master is far from ideal.

I am not sure that QGIS bug fixing program is the right way to go.

It wouldn't be fair that an unfinished paid work is pushed to master and
later on the group sponsors the end of the development.

I suggest to wait for Marco's answer regarding the schedule for fixing the
node tool.

I think that waiting again 2 weeks is a bit long as this tool is crucial in
QGIS. If he can't make it, then the solution of paid bug fixing by another
dev can be discussed, but that's a bit odd to me.
