[Qgis-developer] Coordinate Reference System Selector

If a layer in the browser panel is double-clicked to add it to the map 
and it doesn't have an srid associated with it, a dialog pops up to 
allow the user to select a CRS.

Where does this information go?

When the database provider constructor is called, it isn't given this 
information in the URI which is the only parameter.
