yes, the main problem is with vectors: v.external only supports a
limited set of commands (those not requiring topology), so reverting to
real import is generally necessary, and that's the time consuming step.
ideally, Processing should check the command sequence in a model, and
avoid export/import when two consecutive commands are from the same
software, particularly GRASS.
