[QGIS-Developer] Exploring the new node tool: questions and bugs(?)

My 2 cents after som testing:

1. I agree with the necessity to consider only the vertices of the selected
feature(s), it's the best way to resolve edition at common boundary. Nyall's
proposed approach seems good to me, otherwise another idea to avoid the
"magic effect": we can just test if the selected feature(s) is visible in
the viewport and if not display a warning message explaining why there is no
editable vertex in the current view.

2. About the double click to add a new vertex anywhere on a segment. This
behavior does not really match the click-click approach. I think a double
click must result on a new vertex added and validated, like 2 following
simple click without move of the node position. On another side, ability to
add a vertex anywhere on the segment is an important feature, for this task
it will be more instinctive to see the "+" symbol (actually displaying only
at the middle of a segment) following the mouse mouvement across the edge so
we can add a new vertex at any point of the segment without perform a double
click.

3. I'm not in favour with the ability to highlight and move a segment,
selecting 2 vertices to move a segment seems enough to me.

4. Selecting one or several nodes by drawing a rectangle is very udsefull
but it lack the ability to add new nodes to the current selection by
maintenaing ctrl or shift key.

Regards
