[QGIS-Developer] Missing dependency openpty

Hi all,
I am having trouble compiled QGIS master keep getting a missing dependency
error  (openpty):

        CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:199 (MESSAGE):
           openpty not found!
I've also installed the libutil package (
https://www.gsp.com/cgi-bin/man.cgi?section=3&topic=openpty). But that
doesn't change anything

I am using ubuntu xenial (16.04).
Any suggestions?
