[QGIS-Developer] Colour schemes for projects

Hi all,
I think this may have been raised previously, sorry if I repeat.
Layers loaded get a random colour, which sometimes do not create a nice
and readable palette. How difficult would it be to use one of a set of
standard palettes? There are many tools to create correct ones, even rom
existing images.
