the same on Windows/osgeo4w. And on Windows 2.3.1 is also broken on

SAGA is fast moving (as you say there is already a version 4) and we
know that frequently the name of tools or parameters are changed in
between versions, and this of course has proven very difficult for us
to keep the description files updated.
They have now a LTR version (I think is 2.3.*) and I personally don't
see any alternative for us if not sticking with it.
Linux users (I'm also a Linux user) will have to ask packagers to add
a saga ltr package to their distribution or find a way to
install/compile saga LTR in their systems.
