[QGIS-Developer] Converting plugins to QGIS 3

[C Hamilton]

I am starting to take a look at converting Lat Lon Tools to work with QGIS
3. I see mentioned to not do the following with imports:

from qgis.core import *

What is the best way to find out what routines are actually used?
