> Welcome to the 3d happy user fanclub :-) You can extrude buildings but only to a common height, not to a height based on a building attribute. When in 3D mode, open the style dock for your buildings layer and use the new 3D symbology tab you find there to set the extrusion height etc.

Oh! I should have watched your vid *first* - seems you already found the above bits. Per building height extrusion is hopefully coming sometime in the futureā€¦
