[QGIS-Developer] EqualEarth projection support in QGIS?

Hi,

Twitter is full of mentions of the "EqualEarth" projection. It is 
implemented in many web frameworks now and even appears on TV -->

How can we get this projection into QGIS? Seems it is in proj4 already: 
https://github.com/OSGeo/proj.4/commit/b2fe2277e225d3e666cdcce92182595bb547cb0c

Would be nice to show that QGIS is more agile than other commercial 
competitors ;-)
