[QGIS-Developer] EqualEarth projection support in QGIS?

Hi Kristian,

Thanks for the information/help.

I compiled proj from github (5.2) and confirmed that QGIS is compiled 
against it in the about dialogue.

However, when trying to add a custom projection (see screenshot below)



it complains that the definition is not valid.

Any idea what might be wrong?
