I actually fixed it in master branch
(ae0721891b6b521ee0d0a3dd8b8a8b092b017554)
and backported it to 3.4 (f3ce1b44d734a4a3c08d01be04d39779ef001c9a)
and 3.8 (6cbfb360b47580bd854283b5c5cad91b3367ac8c) branches.
