you are probably also building using 

-DCMAKE_PREFIX_PATH=/home/richard/git/qgis/external/qt3dextra-headers/cmake -DQT5_3DEXTRA_INCLUDE_DIR=/home/richard/git/qgis/external/qt3dextra-headers

which you should not use anymore now
