Hard to say upfront -- it's going to depend on the size (pixels) of
the features, and the number of lines in the fill pattern. Gut feeling
is that it's unlikely to be noticeable for individual users, but
costly enough to be an issue for server. Somewhere in the middle
there!

Hm -- maybe we should add a project level setting for "rendering
quality". There's actually quite a few more shortcuts we could
potentially take if someone just cares about fast rendering vs high
quality rendering (e.g. rendering shapeburst fills at a lower
resolution). So potentially we could add a setting "rendering quality"
with options like "Prioritise speed over
quality"/"Balanced"/"Prioritize quality over speed". (I think layout
exports should ALWAYS use the highest quality render though, so they'd
ignore this setting)
