[QGIS-Developer] QGIS resolution

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone knows how to improve the resolution of a background map in QGIS, to export out as a geotiff image? I believe it maxes out at 3000 pixels and understand that it will make it a much larger file, but can this be increased at all?
