[QGIS-Developer] Resetting QgsMessageLog?

Hi everyone,

I logged a lot of messages with QgsMessageLog.logMessage() and now the 
General tab in Log Messages says "Message log truncated".

Any new incoming message is not logged anymore at all.

How can I clear the message log so that new messages are displayed again?

Is there a way to make it a FIFO-ish log instead where older messages 
get discarded when necessary?
