On a new ltr release the redirect has to be updated (currently on www2.qgis.org):

RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} QGIS\/(2\.14\.|3\.4\.|3\.10\.|3\.16\.|310|316|322|328)
RewriteRule ^/version\.txt$ /version-ltr.txt [L]
