[QGIS-Developer] QGIS 3.40 on Ubuntu 24.10 "oracular"

Good people,

I'm a long-time and very appreciative user of QGIS but new to this list.
Please let me know if I'm doing the wrong thing here...

Background - I am also a long-time Ubuntu user (since 4.10 as it happens),
and I generally keep up with releases rather than only moving from LTS to
LTS every two years. And so I have had two of my three systems running
24.10 since a few days after its release.

What's keeping me from moving my main system to 24.10 is the lack of QGIS
3.40 being available for it. The standard Ubuntu repositories contain 3.34
and there is no "oracular" download on https://debian.qgis.org/debian/dists/,
though I can see the latest builds for earlier Ubuntus are dated 26 October.

This is no kind of complaint, but a request for information - is there
somewhere I can learn about the plan for releasing QGIS for the latest
Ubuntu version? about blockers? about if there's anything I can do to
facilitate?

Thanks very much in advance, and the very best to all.
