Hi devs,
We have three help requests for you:
1. Doctest Failure
Harrissou sent an email a few days ago regarding a failing doctest in the
documentation repository. This issue has existed for a while, but the error
message is usually:
*Error: Process completed with exit code 2*
However, recently we encountered a different error message:
*ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'qgis'*
Here is an example of a failed action:
https://github.com/qgis/QGIS-Documentation/actions/runs/16571687193/job/46865383445#step:8:682
The executed configuration command is here:
https://github.com/qgis/QGIS-Documentation/blob/ab9f5f1d64e2e10a31af1f84294605aa69b24b3c/conf.py#L391
The documentation team is unsure how to interpret either of these errors,
and we’d really appreciate it if someone could take a look and offer some
guidance. More details you can find in the Harrissou's email. Thank you in
advance!
2. Mailing List Subscription
We have a new documentation writer, Hefni, who is joining us from
Indonesia. She tried to subscribe to the mailing list but hasn't received a
confirmation email yet. Is there any particular reason for this delay?
3. "Extract Vertices" Processing Algorithm
Hefni is also working on updating the algorithm output documentation, and
we need clarification on the following fields returned by the Extract
Vertices algorithm:
vertex_pos
vertex_index
vertex_part
vertex_part_ring
vertex_part_index
Could someone please explain what each of these fields represents?
Her additional message: "vertex_part and vertex_part_ring values are all
returning 0 on my end, even though the feature consists of multiple polygon
parts. I was expecting different values for each part."
Here is the PR <https://github.com/qgis/QGIS-Documentation/pull/10067>.
Thanks again for your help and support,
Selma Vidimlic Husic
