Nel mio caso:

*C:\>ogrinfo prova.kmz
FAILURE:
Unable to open datasource `prova.kmz' with the following drivers:*

purtroppo in Rete non riesco a trovare un modo per "registrare" il driver
Libkml sotto Windows...
