As a short answer, if you are citing sources and releasing your materials
for public consumption, no right minded QGIS team member is going to
complain. If you really want to cover your bases, you could formally
request permission to use the specific materials from the QGIS Project
Steering Committee (PSC). I've cc'd the PSC to this reply in case any other
members have a different opinion, but if you hear no further correspondence
on this matter within a few days, take it as tacit approval.

It would be nice if you can tag your materials '#QGIS' or similar so others
may discover them and perhaps send us a link to the resources you create so
that the broader QGIS community may enjoy them too!
