Hi,

my idea is to add a contributors.txt and translators.txt file to each repo
and linking to it from the documents instead of putting all names inside
the documents.

e.g.:

QGIS-Documentation/source/docs/user_manual/contributors.txt
QGIS-Documentation/source/docs/user_manual/translators.txt

QGIS-Documentation/source/docs/gentle_gis_introduction/contributors.txt
QGIS-Documentation/source/docs/gentle_gis_introduction/translators.txt

Is that also what you mean?
