I would be available for up to 2 days of further bugfixing...

Looking at the list of bugs (blocker and high priority), the bugfixing
like this could go on for long... Maybe at this stage it would be
better to make a list of bugs we really want to fix and focus on
those? Or is everyone happy with the way how we "randomly" pick issues
and fix them?

A side note: I think for future releases it would be good to have
someone (ideally paid by QGIS project for some time) to clean up the
bug queue prior to bugfixing. For example, I am very impressed by the
work Giovanni has been doing for a long time to keep the bug tracker
in a good shape (confirming bugs, closing duplicates, asking for
feedback etc). It would be great to have dedicated time from him for
QGIS project especially during the preparation of a release.
Priorities assigned by individual bug reporters are often very
subjective and so we sometimes end up fixing "blockers" which are not
as annoying as bugs filed with lower priority.
