OK, great to see the QGIS User Conference advertised there. I have spoken to Lene (organiser of the first QGIS user conference) and she is very willing to pitch in. What would be great is if there is someone from your team that can be her conference organisation counterpart to bridge and issues of language and required local knowledge for getting things organised.

> This is the web page of the "10th Jornadas de SIG Libre" + "2nd International QGIS User and Dev Conference". Today we have launched the website, so we are starting to disseminate it using our communication channels, in Spanish. Tomorrow we will send another wave of emails for international audience of QGIS and for those who can be interested to attend the QGIS events in May.

“QGIS Hack Fests are special events held by the QGIS project twice a year, usually somewhere in Europe. The purpose of the hackfests is to provide a face-to-face venue where QGIS developers, translators, documentation writers, testers and enthusiasts can share ideas for a few days. These events are the incubators of many of the great new features and initiatives that make their way into QGIS. You do not need to be a coder to attend a hackfest, but there is an expectation that participants join in the effort of making QGIS the best desktop GIS software for our users!"

Ok thats fine thanks.

Great, thanks.

Perfect.

Ok so from Lene and myself we would focus on lining up speakers and workshop presenters for the conference and workshops and then leave the registration to your team.

Then, as soon as you confirm that a developer will effectively participate in both the conference as in the hack fest, we can change his/her profile in the registered database from "Regular attendant" to "Guest", so no payment will be necessary.

Ok that sounds great.

Perfect

Ok so we would simply use your platform for a) and probably do some gentle prodding to QGIS community to register if they want to run workshops.

Lene is already a candidate... :)

OK great!
