[Qgis-psc] Fwd: [Qgis-community-team] Section 508 compliance for QGIS?

Hi PSC, Hi Larry, 

There was a question in the community list about Section 508 compliance.


This is about accessibility support in the software - I believe that in
the US, government has to buy or acquire such 508 compliant software (at
least in theory) - or when there is not a fully compliant software
available, use the one software that supports accessibility the best. 

Should QGIS.ORG do something about this? It is probably a lot of effort
to be 508 compliant and potentially also expensive. Larry, do you know
if Boundless is doing something about 508 compliance?

two post on this list from 2012, but nothing since.... Does anyone know?
