I am of the opposite view - asking people to share their training materials (could be a link to official training materials) is a very tangible way to get people to contribute back to the project and seems in keeping with the general ethos of the project. And this would only apply to those who want to be part of the certification programme. Could you elaborate a bit on why you think it is not a nice thing to do?
