We already giving those "leechers" a headstart by letting them use (all of)
QGIS.
The concerns with source are probably quite similar - the difference is that we
or all of the giants on whose shoulders we stand shared their work & knowledge
already and no one can claim to own QGIS anymore.
But maybe earlier so what was given away didn't seem too big - and the possible
gain be contribution looked more promising.
Otherwise still don't see a real difference.
