[Qgis-psc] Establishing an Official QGIS User Group Philippines [Steps to Take]

Hi all,

And congratulations Martin!

In The Netherlands we are still undecided about the communication
platform(s) for the user group. The board is using telegram, and we are
using email to send out messages to our users.

We also started testing matrix.org using the Element apps (web and
android) to see if that works. Easiest for getting people on board is
using FB or Twitter of course, but we also think that "practice what you
preach" is important. So, convincing people to use FOSS4G for security
and privacy reasons while pushing them to FB for communications is a
weird thing.

Another thing to mention here, the next "KwakFest" (November 27) at 14h
UTC there will be a User Group meeting to discuss exactly this. Please
subscribe! You don't need to have an official user group yet, if you
have plans and are interested be there!

People from Colombia, Indonesia, Austria, Portugal, Spain and The
Netherlands already signed up. :+1:

Kind regards,
Raymond
