This one was called Hackfest also back in the days. we switched to 
"contributor meeting" to be more welcoming. So I think we could keep the 
name Contributor meeting mainly, and use the word hackathon as a 
comparison  where we explain what this kind of event is.

Sold. I'll be there!  Stars are sufficiently aligned to make me do the

I think this is quite open. We referenced a local mini code sprint in 
QGIS Grenoble in the wiki, just because it is a very convenient place to 
self organize logistics. +1 for me.
