Hi,
This is obviously unpleasant matters to deal with, but if we don't
react, what will become our freedoms ?
So following my initial move in GDAL in
https://github.com/OSGeo/gdal/pull/11865, I'm following up with:
- GeoJSON writer: insert GDAL_RELEASE_NICKNAME:
https://github.com/OSGeo/gdal/pull/11875
- GPKG: insert GDAL_RELEASE_NICKNAME:
https://github.com/OSGeo/gdal/pull/11876
- GTiff: insert GDAL_RELEASE_NICKNAME in GDAL_METADATA tag:
https://github.com/OSGeo/gdal/pull/11877
- MapServer: https://github.com/MapServer/MapServer/pull/7233
- PROJ: https://github.com/OSGeo/PROJ/pull/4406
- GEOS: https://github.com/libgeos/geos/pull/1243
So QGIS is *going* to be affected, whatever it decides for itself
Cheers,
Even

My software is free, but my time generally not.
Note to current US government: stop messing with the world!
