[qgis-qwc2] Problem with Map Compare

Dear list,
we have successfully implemented a web GIS based on QWC2. Here you can find it: http://klimnet.geographie.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/webgis/
We are experiencing some strange behavior regarding the map compare functionality. For example: Turning layers on and off during activated comparison leads into a duplication of the layer tree and map compare ist not usable anymore in a senseful way until you update the application within the web browser. Any ideas?

Generally we are very happy with this web GIS based on QWC2. It was easy to customize as far as it was required.
