Hi to all translators!
> I would also like to ask you ...there was a list of translators per language and another one with the progress so far for each language. Where can I find them? Could you provide me with a link? I would like to see whether my name has been included.
> Furthermore, let's say I finish everything there is to translate on the file you gave me...what's next? Do I recieve another file with new content?
The list of translators and the progress was manually updated now and
then. Currently you can find the involved translators (or at least every
translators that have been involved in translation) and the progress of
the languages in the About BOX of QGIS ( Help -> About -> Translators ).
I know that it is not the right place for people not using nightly
builds or compiling themselves but updating a WIKI page after every
commit is not the way to go.
As we (as project) are currently working on a new webpage I think about
including an automatic mechanism to bring this info also to the (new)
webpage with every commit (or at least once a day). So stay tuned for
the next Hackfest which will take place in Valmiera.
For the update: If you send your file to me I'll add the newly appeared
strings before committing it to master. (there is the script
update_ts_files.sh in the scripts directory for those who'd like to do
it by themself - Linux only)
So you can download the new .ts file from github .. or just git pull the
new version if you have checked out with git.
For any other (using git doing pull requests) I will do the next
complete string update for every language on string freeze (which will
probably happen in the next 6 weeks).
So the release date for 2.0 is coming slowly but be prepared. Everyone
wanting to start keeping up with translations .. NOW is the day to start :)
Thanks a lot to all of you investing you time!
kind regards
Werner
