 Hi,

 in an enterprise environment it would be useful to store plugins in a
 common shared (SAMBA or NFS) folder.

 One nice way to accomplish this would be the use of an environment
 variabile, like QGIS_ADDITIONAL_PLUGIN_DIR.

 At startup, QGIS should search plugin in this directory, too, among the
 defaults (user home directory and standard qgis plugin dir).

 Note: I don't know if it is necessary to have separate directories, for
 C++ and Python plugins?
