 Now I can see even better:

 have a look at the following screencast:

 http://www.faunalia.pt/downlaods/redrawns.mpeg

 the vectors seems to be redrawn TWICE when toggling editing and it is even
 redrawn when clicking "Ok" or "apply" in QGIS menus.
