 Regarding the error received from georeferencing the images, I will have a
 look into this. As far as I can see now, the error may be caused because
 no GCPs were detected.

 Currently our workflow is as follows:
 Open ref/raw image -> detect GCPs -> georeferencing images -> orthorectify
 image (optional)

 When the detection step is skipped, QGis crashes. I will fix this asap.
