Folks,

after forming a "Release Team" we are now pleased to announce the new QGIS
"Community Team" and would like to thank Tara Athan, Werner Macho, Lars
Stöwesand, Stephan Reber and Sascha Wernicke in advance for their willingness
to take over responsibility as community assistants. You can have a closer look
and get in contact with the just formed new QGIS teams here:

(Overview) http://wiki.qgis.org/
(Community Team)	http://wiki.qgis.org/qgiswiki/CommunityTeam
(Release Team) http://wiki.qgis.org/qgiswiki/ReleaseTeam

The aim of the Community Team is to provide and improve community services
within the qgis project. As you already know from the last mailing (see below)
this means a lot of work and we are now starting to organize the tasks and
recruit more people who are willing to invest a little time.

The Release Team manages and coordinates the release process, provided binary
packages and announces new releases to the world at large. Any assistance to
improve the release process is welcome.

If you want to help or just want to be informed, please subscribe to the
"qgis-community-team" and/or "qgis-release-team" list(s) and follow further
announcements. We will all benefit the more people take part.

thanks a lot for your help!

kind regards,
 Otto
