[Qgis-user] Postgis, Qgis, uDig?

Personally, uDig was not a satisfying experience when I used it.  
Maciej did a good job listing the shortcomings of qgis and postgis. I  
quite enjoy qgis as a front-end to postgis, but you may want to give  
both a try to find out for yourself.
