[Qgis-user] Ubuntu Version 0.11 has some defects

What version of python-qt4 are you running?
Qgis from ppa.launchpad is compiled against python-qt4 from the ubuntu
repositories (4.3.x). If you have a  later version of python-qt4, i.e.
4.4.x. then you will get issues similar to those you describe.
