Yes, because it's a working example useful to someone learning the art
of QGIS C++ plugins. Instead of removing the code from svn could it
not rather be moved into a subdirectory for unmaintained code and
excluded from the default build process? Since the api is now stable
the plugin code should be usable for the life of the 1.x series.
