Definitely. What installer do you mean? All the stuff installed by OSGeo4W 
should keep inside its directory. But maybe the standalone Python is first in 
the path and something there (rpy2?) covers the proper rpy?

But I don't know Windows very well, let's wait for someone more competent :)
