Hi all,

I am using Ubuntu 9.10 and Mimas from ubuntugis-unstable. Some days ago
python support got broken. This is the message I get when launch QGis:

-------------------------------------------------------------------
No se pudo cargar PyQGIS.
El soporte para Python estará deshabilitado.

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "", line 1, in
RuntimeError: the sip module implements API v6.0 but the qgis.core
module requires API v5.0

Versión de Python:
2.6.4rc1 (r264rc1:75270, Oct 13 2009, 17:19:27)
[GCC 4.4.1]

Ruta de Python:
['/usr/share/qgis/python', '/home/goyo/.qgis//python/plugins',
'/usr/share/qgis/python/plugins', '/usr/lib/python2.6',
'/usr/lib/python2.6/plat-linux2', '/usr/lib/python2.6/lib-tk',
'/usr/lib/python2.6/lib-old', '/usr/lib/python2.6/lib-dynload',
'/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages',
'/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/PIL',
'/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/gst-0.10',
'/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6',
'/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/gtk-2.0',
'/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.6/gtk-2.0',
'/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/wx-2.8-gtk2-unicode',
'/usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages']
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Besides this QGis seems to work well.

I guess this is due to recent python-sip4 updates. I'd just like to know
if there are more Karmic testers around that can confirm this issue and
be sure that packagers are aware of it (Jürgen?).

Best regards

Goyo
