[Qgis-user] AutoGCP Plugin

Can someone assist with this problem please.

I am running Debian Linux.
I have built QGIS from source - r14877M
When I install the AutoGCP plugin ver 0.5 the plugin manager indicates 
that ver 0.4 is installed.
I can remove the plugin but if I re-install it ver 0.4 appears to be 
installed again.
The upgrade option appears daily i.e. ver 0.4 -> ver 0.5.

The ver 0.4 does not work at all. That is, none of the menu option work 
at all.

How can I remove all trace of ver 0.4 so as to start afresh?
Or are there any other suggestions?
