[Qgis-user] Serious bug returns to Qgis revision 13878

I poked around a bit - looks like only 1 change between r13519 and r13597: r13570, reenabling raster legend icons.  I reverted this change (local copy) and the project again loads fast.

Nothing else I can do, hopefully Marco can figure something out.  Maybe cache the icons in the project, or an option to turn raster legend icons off, or something else to speed up the process?
