[Qgis-user] New vector layer in QGIS 1.4.0

Hi,

Can some one explain why the New Vector Layer window in QGIS 1.4.0 does 
not include the option for File format anymore? The QGIS 1.3.0 had a drop 
down menu for File format. Interestingly the user guide of QGIS 1.4.0 
still shows the older wondow.
