[Qgis-user] How to use "Capture points" on OS X?

Hi Kirk
In QGIS only one geometry type is allowed per vector layer.
According to your description, it seems you have an already existent
lines layer. You cannot add new points to it, only lines. That is why
you cannot see the 'capture point' button on the editing toolbar.
The solution is to create a new vector layer, of type 'point' and then
turning the edit mode on. Your 'capture point' button will be visible
then ;)
