Hi Sam,

Tips in installing QGIS.

1. You can not use OSGeo4W installer without an internet connection.
2. Use the standalone installer if you don't have internet connection.
3. Install it C: drive
4. Use the stable version (e.g. QGIS 1.6) and standalone for first user.
