Hi again fellow qgis users,
I take back the part about ubuntu 10.04, I was actually running 9.10
(could have sworn I'd upgraded sometime in the last 9 months but
obviously not!).
I've updated to 10.04 and I no longer get the invalid geometry crash
and the polygons close themselves nicely when I release the mouse
button. I'd still prefer an option to right click to close the polygon
though if anyone can suggest something?

Thanks again
Matt
