[Qgis-user] raster error ubuntu qgis 1.7

I just found the origin of the segmentation fault problem in my case. It was the SDA4PP plugin causing the SegFault whenever I opened a raster. I don't know if the problem is related to yours because I couldn't open at all any kind of raster (vector data was ok). 

However, the second strange behaviour I described still happens.. Even if I delete the ~/.qgis it opens in the next workspace to the current...

I'm seeing the same problem (also in trunk), and it seems to be the
cause of the slowness  when opening rasters (that can lead in crashes as
reported here)
