[Qgis-user] Clipping Vector (e.g. clip or Intersect) - Ubuntu 10.04

Hi,

I am trying to clip roads for a section on the photo map.

1. Georefence a jpeg photo with the section boundaries (e.g. A, B, C).
2. Created a vector polygon A.
3. add roads vector - (MapInfo / Shapefile).

I am getting an empty shapefile when I am trying to clip or intersect
in Vector -> Geoprocessing Tools -> Clip and or Intersect.

What to do to make it working? Any attributes that I have to add in my
new vector layer (polygon A) to make working?

Is this tool working (Vector -> Geoprocessing Tools -> Clip and or Intersect)?
